Brotherhood!
There are many unspoken "bonds" that men experience every day: beer, sports, women, work, cars, and the list goes on… It’s the unspoken nod to the man who is having relationship issues in a local department store and how in that brief moment a visual connection is made that communicates sympathy and understanding to the other man’s situation.
There is another unspoken bond that all Christian men share whether they are in tune with it or not – the bond of the Holy Spirit. This is a bond shared between each other and God that he uses to grow and mature us in Christ. How do we recognize this bond with each other through the Holy Spirit? Once recognized, how is it cultivated and nurtured? Through this bond we can experience powerful encouragement, growth, support, comfort, and challenge unto Christ.
Coming in March the men of Family in Christ church are going on a retreat to look at how to live in the bond of Christian Brotherhood. It will be a time to take a deeper look at your walk with God. You are invited to join. Bring a friend or two and come take a step toward living in Christian Brotherhood.
