The Refuge is a local ministry serving our community. They have several opportunities and people who need handyman-type help from simple weed pulling to minor repair projects. Join one of our teams to help bring some aid and encouragement to some friends in need!

Regan Archer's wife, Kelly, has a Beyond the Walls ministry called Chadash Dance (http://chadashdance.com). They have a concert at the Broomfield Auditorium on Thursday, August 8th and two on Saturday, August 10th. There are many ways to help serve the arts.

You may have noticed that there are quite a few people in our community asking for help at various street corners. Come join us to assemble some Hope Kits that can be used to share the love of Christ with whomever crosses our paths!

This is for ALL ages!

We would love to bless Ryan Elementary School that sits just a mile or so behind Family in Christ. They have some simple painting needs to help them get ready for the new school year.

Each week our friends over at Sunrise of Westminster join us online for our worship services. This time, we are going to go to them at their facility near Sheridan and 104th Ave! Join a group of up to 15 people to worship and pray together from 10 am to 11 am. We'll not only worship but have a chance to meet some new friends there!

Join us at Sunrise of Westminster to build relationships with the seniors there, by washing their wheelchairs or walkers. They will provide all of the supplies (including pizza!), all we have to do is show up and love people!

When: Sunday, Aug 4th from 1:00-2:30 pm. (If you can't attend other Summer Serve Day events in the morning - or want to do morning and afternoon! - this is a different time option.)

Join us in the simple, yet powerful, act of sending a handmade, handwritten card of encouragement. We'll meet at FIC on Sunday, August 4th from 10:00-11:00 am to write them together.

For those of you who may be traveling during Summer Serve Day, or for our Online Worship Community, we have some ideas for you as well! Sign up for this event and simply complete one of the ideas below, or create your own random act of kindness to love your neighbors! Meet a need... build a relationship!

* Bake, make a dessert, or make a meal for a neighbor, or someone in need.

* Plan an event with a neighbor: hiking, a meal out, a movie, a concert (Chadash?), a museum, etc.

* Mow your neighbors lawn! (Maybe just the front!)

* Volunteer at a non-profit or charity group near where you live or are traveling.

* Write a letter or call someone in your life today (or from the past) to encourage them.

* Have a campfire and invite people over for smores

* Have fun, loving others doesn't have to feel like a chore!
